West- Indian-Ized???

Hey fellas..
How are you all doing?? I have come back home today as its my mom dad's 25th Wedding Anniversary this Sunday , so we are having a small Paath ( religious recitation ) at our place. 
Anyways as I came back I got hold of today's newspaper and saw something which made me very proud being an Indian..
Heheheh.. Its nothing that some Indian got awarded or something, but just that how Indian designs & customs are now being famous Outside India.

 Here are a few examples from the recently organized 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards in California.

 Hollywood actor Catherine Rusoff donned a Salwar Kameez complete with heavy embroidery on the panels, a dupatta & traditional jewellery to go with it at the red carpet and she looked Gorgeous.
What do you all think?

On the other side actor,at the same event, Guy Pearce' wife Kate Mestitz flaunted a Lord Ganesha tattoo on her back which had a beautiful design.




Back home, American Chat Show queen Oprah Winfrey is in India for the shoot of her new show- "Oprah’s Next Chapter" and at a Welcome party she was dressed up in an orange & gold saree with bejewelled corset by designer Tarun Tahiliani.

 These are just few examples of how Indian clothes & traditions have influenced the Western World. In recent past, Lady Gaga was also seen wearing a saree by Tarun Tahiliani during her visit to India.
This really makes me feel proud as an Indian and confident that if a Hollywood actor can rock the Red Carpet in an Indian attire, why can't we do the same living in India itself?
What do you all think about it? And to my foreign friends- what do you feel about Indian trends & designs? Have you tried wearing Indian silhouettes, drapes etc. ?

    I really didn't liked that Lord Ganesha Tatoo at some1 back, whomsoever personality she may be. Its like a dis-respect to your religious beliefs. However i really liked other pics and loved how much they liked the Indian culture. Right?

    Hi!
    I never actually tried wearing an indian outfit, but I love drapes and you got me feeling curious about trying one! I like the indian beed works in some of the sarees I have seen in photos.
    Maybe soon enough these trends will be available in stores!

    Straight from the USA: lovin' the indian trend, they are such a great influence, I especially love the colors and the boldness of it all. I am so in love with Oprah's dress.     Lol...the first picture of Catherine Rusoff....although the salwar kameez outfit looks great because it's elegant and a nice pop of colour and an ethnic look, there are two things that just kill the overall look for her: the suit is ill fitted around the abdomen probably due to the satin/silk fabric and could have done with either a duppata or a size up. Secondly, the shoes are a big faux pas ....should have gone for a more elegant and classy shoe.

    Oprah Winfrey is looking very cool in orange & gold color Indian Saree. Catherian Rusoff is also looking beautiful in Indian Salwar Kammez outfit.

    Yes Nitika you are right, we Indian should proud on us and our ethnic dresses. Now Indian dresses are rocking the red carpets of western countries, even Hollywood is taking inspiration from Indian women outfits.
