Hello everyone !
Hope you all are doing good.. Last weekend I had lotsaa fun after a longgg time.
Firstly, one of my bestest friends was visiting my place so we both went shopping and eating out, playing games at Hide Out- Select City Walk.
Secondly and majorly, I got the opportunity to attend Black Dog Easy Evenings at Hotel Westin, Gurgaon with Melissa Totten who performed on the famous songs of Madonna.
Totten is here on a seven-city-tour, which started in Goa Aug 17, followed by her Delhi show, and now she will move to Shillong, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Vizag and a last performance in Hyderabad Aug 31.
I have never been to Black Dog Easy Evenings before so I was really looking forward to attend the same with my friend as we were all tired with all the shopping and travel the whole weekend.
The venue was the amazing Ball Room of the hotel and we headed to the Black Dog bars which were open for all the guests till the performance started, with the best of the liquors being served. Delicious snacks and cupcakes were also being served alongside to all the guests.
People had turned out with friends and family, and they seemed to be having a good time with the eagerness for the performance to start.
At around 9 the host made an announcement that the Bars would be shut now and we should take our seats inside the Ballroom for the performance to start. The room was totally packed with people in a couple of minutes. I was amazed to see so many people turned up to watch Madonna's look-alike perform whereas my friend was wondering who would be interested to watch a look-alike, but I guess Melissa proved my friend and many other wrong with her marvelous entry on the Stage- dressed in a short black dress- with her dancers' troop joining her while walking through the crowd to reach the stage.
She started with one of the famous Madonna numbers- The Candy Shop and the guests surely went crazy watching her perform with full of energy and enthusiasm!
Well there were some crazy people who were jumping around whenever Melissa came amongst the crowd to groove, in a chance to hug her or dance with her, but Melissa surely didn't disappoint them.
With her troop also came 2 funky DJs from London who played peppy music and were doing their best to keep the spirit alive.
The best part was Melissa and her dancers' troop joining the crowd many a times in between to keep up the momentum and encourage the otherwise little shy audience to dance and sing along.
The 90 minutes performance by Melissa
Totten & her team required frequent costume change, but it was made
sure that the stage was not left empty for even a minute and the
disco-jockeys kept the heat bars high with good music. I loved her look in the all White Suit the most- Edgy and Sexy !!
Melissa added desi flavour by mixing songs like "Jai ho" and "Mundiya tu bachke rahi" with English songs and it had an electrifying impact.
The show closed with a soulful performance on Madonna's song "Like a prayer" and Melissa received a thunderous applause by the audience who surely had a great time including me and my friend. : )
PS- I know I couldn't get much pictures from the event as my camera wasn't working properly so I had to rely on the pictures from the official Facebook page of Black Dog Easy Evenings.
Loads of love
