On the other note I am just back from Jaipur, spending a fun weekend there.
I had attended the
Blenders Pride Fashion Tour, 2012 which was organized in Gurgaon last week.
I totally loved this event for one main reason- Instead of a plain, usual straight ramp walk- the organizers had divided the stage into a maze of squares which made the catwalk interesting and enjoyable!
Here are the updates on my favorite designs and all the glamour which happened at the event.
Stunning, romantic and stupendous - these words perfectly describe Mandira Wirk's collection inspired from English bride called- Veils Unveiled. Sushmita Sen reminded me of her Miss Universe times, showstopping in the gorgeous pink gown. Lovely pastels and beautiful embellishments made me fall in love with each of the designs.
Wendell Rodricks presented his Fash Splash collection, which takes inspiration from the new Blenders Pride package by the designer for this festive season. The collection comprised lots of neons and hot colours like chilli red, glow yellow, neon orange etc. which reflected uber cool style and sensuality, perfect for the festive season.
Vikram Phadnis presented his amazing ethnic wear collection called - Nazakat. The designs were a perfect symbol of royal luxury. The collection featured embellished sarees, pants with sherwanis for women and the models walked the ramp wearing sequined "topis" ( hats/caps) which were totally eye-catch and added glam to the outfits. Malaika Arora Khan sizzled the ramp as the show-stopper for his collection.
Subtle embroidery with gold, copper and bronze playing a major role, giving the creations a sexy, feminine and timeless appeal, reflected in Nandita Mahtani's collection. She worked with solid colors for the ensembles, which were full of bright pop colours like neon green, pink that move into lots of summer hues with metallic gold added to it. The outfits were chic and charming. Bipasha Basu was the show-stopper for her collection, who walked in the ramp in a lovely lime green off-shoulder gown.
And here's a picture of what I wore for the 1st day of the event -
