Wednesday, 16 July 2014

Hey everyone!
So, Delhi is having another fashionable week with the edition of FDCI's India Couture Week sponsored by Shree Raj Mahal Jewellers being held at the Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi.

And the Couture Week saw a royal and grand opening with the amazing show by Sabyasachi that featured a set straight out from a Bollywood movie, in the form of a luxury train and had Rani Mukherji adorning the front row in support of her friend Sabyasachi.

The title sponsors Shree Raj Mahal Jewellers had also invited a special set of guests at their VIP lounge to check out the new designer bridal jewellery collection "Swara And Sondarya"  that was exhibited there.

And here are some pictures from the collection showcased by Sabyasachi -
The interesting Train set for Sabyasachi's show
Entitled ‘Ferozabad’, Sabyasachi's collection had the old-world charm of the city of Mughal Emperor Akbar. The most thrilling part of the show was ofcourse the set which brought a welcome change from the usual fashion ramps which have the audience sitting on both sides.

Models sashayed down the ramp wearing sarees teamed with high-neck blouses, ghararas, anarkalis, lehengas and coats in colors like nudes, rose pink and peaches, featuring heavy embroidery and beautiful embellishments.

The men also wore bandhgalas, embroidered trousers and khadi coats, dazzling the ramp in the unique style of Sabyasachi and presenting the old world charm. Also standing out were the sleeveless Nehru jackets that were embellished with 18 carat gold buttons and trousers with 18th century floral patterns.
