OOTD - Tropical Crop Top Dress Set | Curvy Style Guide

Friday, 3 October 2014

Hey lovely readers!
Wishing you all a very Happy Dussehra and hope you all are enjoying the long weekend.
I am here with the first Outfit Post of this month covering a trend which is currently the rage all over - Crop Top and Skirt sets.

My wardrobe mostly consists of dresses and skirts, and I was looking for a refreshing change so when I saw many celebs and models rocking crop tops and matching skirts, I knew I have to try this trend too.
This style is a perfect pick over a frock or cocktail dress as it is available in various silhouettes and patterns that look good on every body type. And it comes as a boon for us curvy ladies as it makes for a sophisticated manner to wear a crop top with a high-waisted skirt without looking over-the-top or unflattering.

While I was looking for a perfect set for myself, I came across this new brand in town - RIDRESS - which offers stylish apparel that are inspired from the international runway and red carpet styles.

"RIDRESS epitomizes the young fashionista with an eye for both the edgy and the classic. We celebrate young women and this can be felt in our designs, which goes well with every girl.
The collections cover a gamut of styles and ranges to suit the ever-changing mood and lifestyle of this girl, who is always on the move and always ready to dazzle. "

Have a look at how I styled my dazzling tropical print crop top and skirt set from RIDRESS while I went to attend a Bloggers' Meet organized by AVON recently -

Top : Ridress
Skirt : Ridress
Heels : ZARA
Watch : FOSSIl
Bag : Milanoo.com

You can also get this look by pairing a solid color crop top with a high-waisted matching skirt or go for all-over printed matching set just like mine. Not only this trend looks chic for a day-out with your friends, but also can look great in a formal affair as you give only a hint of your mid-riff which is sexy yet classy.
Make sure that you don't reveal much skin - if you are going shorter on the top, pair the crop top with a tea length skirt. Or go for a mini skirt with a top featuring sleeves.
