OOTD - What I wore to BMW India Bridal Fashion Week - Keeping it Casual with Kimono Sleeved Top

Ok! Pardon me as I still haven't got time to unpack my bags and thus write about my Dubai shopping and travelogue. However, I think I am going to start working on it this week so that I start rolling out the posts soon :)
So today's Outfit post dates back to the BMW India Bridal Fashion Week which was held at DLF Emporio, Delhi from August 7-11, 2015.
I attended the Day 2 of the Fashion Week after a long day at work and therefore decided to just go in with a smart casual attire featuring Kimono sleeves which are perfect for such days when I wish to look put together without having to put on something constricting.
I had recently purchased this monochrome Kimono sleeve top from ZARA which has a beautiful embroidered pattern on the front and along the sleeves, and paired it with my formal black pants from ZARA itself. To break the monotony of the monochrome, I paired my outfit with a bird print satchel from The Purple Sack and color block wedges from Forever 21.
My Forever 21 sleek neckpiece, Aldo watch and a cute heart embellished bracelet from Forever 21 were perfect for accessorizing the look.

Kimono sleeves in various forms like a dressy top or a cape add a distinctly Eastern vibe to the outfit which can be worn day or night. They are also perfect to hide heavy arms and work as an ideal layering piece.

Well in today's post, I will be sharing my experience with the Garnier White Complete Range which I have been using since last 10 days. I have has used their Garnier White Night cream religiously in the past, and I really loved how it made my skin healthy overnight.
Therefore, when I received the Garnier White Complete Fairness Face wash and Garnier White Complete Fairness Cream, I was already expecting them to be really good.

My Experience with the Face Wash :
The product comes in a travel-friendly, lightweight tube which features a bright yellow flip open cap. It features a rich creamy texture that lathers really well. A small pea-sized amount of the face wash is enough to thoroughly wash your face and neck.
I liked the fact that it not only removes dirt and makeup from my skin effectively, but also doesn't dry my skin out like other face washes.
Rich in Lemon Essence, the brand claims it helps give you an even complexion. The claim stands true to an extent, as my blemishes have reduced after its usage twice a day.

Now, I am very particular when it comes to choosing a skin care product, especially for moisturizing, as I have a combination skin which acts funny and breaks out whenever I try new products.
I have used various creams in the past, but the best suitable formulas for my skin have been BB creams or Gel-based products. Even the Garnier White Complete Night Cream works well for my skin as it doesn't leave it looking greasy and gets absorbed into the skin.
Garnier White Complete Fairness cream comes in a small pot like packaging which is sleek and travel-friendly. It is rich in Pure lemon essence and SPF 19 PA+++ which makes it an affordable option as a day cream.
I tried it for over a week, but I found the formula little heavy for my combination skin. So, in my opinion dry skin beauties can give it a try as it has a creamy formula that would keep their skin moisturized for long hours.
Overall, while the Garnier White Complete Face Wash has been a win-win for me, I would recommend the Garnier White Complete Fairness Cream for people having a dry skin to make their way for a moisturized, even skin.

Review : Monsoon Spa Treatment at Quan Spa, JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity | Spa Experiential

Hey lovelies!
I was guided to the spacious Spa room by the therapist who gave me some time to change into the disposable lingerie and bathrobe provided in the wardrobe inside the spa room. The spacious spa room also has a shower room and includes basic amenities like shower cap, body lotion, hair dryer etc.
The therapy started with a foot cleansing in rose water and then a Body polish. The pleasant music playing in the background perfectly set up my mood for a relaxing session.
The therapist used one of the soothing and richly nourishing products from the Aromatherapy Associates London range to exfoliate my skin. After a 30 minutes of exfoliation, the therapist gave me some time to take a shower to wash off the excess polish. The body polish made my skin very radiant and smooth after the first part of my spa.
The second part of the ritual included the Hot Stone Massage for which the therapist used a therapeutic oil from the Aromatherapy London range with a relaxing massage to reduce stiffness and soreness from my body. While massaging my back, the therapist particularly mentioned about the stiffness in my upper back, which I think is what all of us working women suffer who have long sitting jobs.
Smooth, warmed stones were used for the massage to relax the muscles and calm the senses and I actually felt asleep for a while during my spa, which made me realize how effective the hot stones were- in soothing my mind and body.
To my relief, the temperature of the stones was warm enough to work effectively in reducing muscle stiffness, without causing any burning sensation.
At the end of the ritual, the therapist used a soft towel to wipe off the extra oil and moisturized my skin with a body butter.
I have never had experienced Hot Stone Massage before, but truly this was the best and one of the most luxurious spa experiences I have ever had. Especially, because while other massage therapies usually just pamper your senses, the Hot Stone therapy really helped reduce stiffness from my body and relieve the back pain that I often experience.

I am really excited to tell you all that I am going on a mini-vacation, but to know where, you will have to wait for my social media posts. I was just busy packing when I realized I had a couple of posts to complete, especially a Spa experience which I had had few days back.
I have been to Quan Spa at JW Marriott Aerocity New Delhi for their launch and had availed a Foot massage there which was really relaxing. But the location being quite far from my place, I could never visit it again for a proper spa.
So last weekend, after a tiring week, when I got an opportunity to experience their special Monsoon treatments, I was really excited.. After all, who doesn't love a pampering spa after a long, dull week?
So on a pleasant Sunday afternoon I visited Quan Spa at JW Marriott for a rejuvenating spa ritual. The spa attendant gave me a complete tour of the property and told me about the rituals available for the Monsoon season that were exclusively designed to pamper the body and mind in this gloomy weather.
The special Monsoon therapies offered by Quan Spa include :
- Exotic Monsoon: Body Polish followed by Hot stone Massage - 90 Minutes
- Chakra Healing: Indian Ayurveda Massage followed by healing with Herbal poultices - 60 Minutes
- Ultimate Aromatherapy – A combination of Swedish & neuromuscular techniques – 60 mins
- 30 mins Bespoke Skin Polish and 60 mins Massage .
While I wanted to go ahead with the Aromatherapy ritual, the Spa attendant recommended that I should go for a Hot Stone Massage which will relieve me from all the muscular tension and stress from my long working hours.
So, finally I decided to take his suggestion and opted for a Bespoke Skin polish and Hot Stone Massage.
As I waited for my therapist to prepare the spa room, a herbal tea was presented in their waiting lounge, which served as a pleasant start for an uber luxurious experience to follow.

To add a pop of color to the outfit, I carried along a color-block clutch purse and accessorized with a tan Daniel Wellington watch and tassels necklace.
The second look features a beautiful asymmetric hemline skirt and a halter-neck pink top with embroidery that perfectly complimented the skirt.
