OOTD : Getting Ready for NYE | Last Minute New Year Eve Party Outfit Ideas
Friday, 30 December 2016
Hey lovelies!
It's the last Friday of 2016 and I am sure pretty much everyone right now is thinking about their NYE plans. But mostly - what to wear this NYE - is something that's on every fashionista's mind!
While I don't have any plans for New year eve so far, I do have a couple of outfits sorted, just in case I have those last minute plans to say goodbye to 2016 in style.
One of those outfits is this minimalist yet pretty tulle dress from ZARA which is perfect for a dinner date or an evening out with friends. It's one of the best dresses I purchased this year - thanks to its beautiful off-shoulder neckline and net details - I just need to accessorize a little and put on my favorite heels to get into the party mood.
Have a look at how I styled this beauty recently :
If you are also still in a fix about what to wear for the New Year eve party, here are three quick styles you can try :
What are you planning to wear this NYE? Hope you all have a joyous, prosperous and a wonderful new year!
Happy New Year 2017!

If you are also still in a fix about what to wear for the New Year eve party, here are three quick styles you can try :
- The Little Black Dress : An LBD can never go wrong! Not even for a NYE party. Style your favorite little black dress with a pair of stilettos and accessorize it with a statement clutch and dangler earrings for a classic look. Don't forget to apply your Ruby Woo lipstick for the glam effect.
- Sequins : The best way to get into the holiday spirit and welcome the new year is by dressing in your sparkly best. Style your sequined top or a sequined skirt with solids and keep the accessories bare minimal for a chic look. If you own a sequined dress, try layering it with a jacket or blazer for an unexpected look.
- Layer it Up : Don't have any dressy pieces in your wardrobe? Fret not! Take out your basic leggings and a tank top, and style it with a trendy jacket for a look that's totally glam. Style it with boots or stilettos and go for a smokey eye to dance away the night with your pals.

Demonetisation What?? - Go Cashless with AXIS PAY | Smart Banking
Tuesday, 27 December 2016
We are in the last week of 2016, and half of India is still shook by one decision which was taken by the government two months back - demonetisation. Well, I am not going to write about the political aspects of this decision - or its rights and wrongs - but mostly about how its impact has been reduced with a positive move towards a Digital India.
In the last two months, I have not visited the bank even once for any monetary transactions, because I have one device that supports me in all kind of payments I want to make ie. my smartphone.
And if you still think a cashless economy is a thing of future, well you haven't tried one of the many applications that are available to help us make online transactions simpler. Amid all the popular digital modes of payment like e-wallets, debit cards and credit cards etc., one concept that has stood out majorly is the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) that is being adapted by many banks lately.
If there is one application that you need to choose to make the most of UPI is the recently launched AXIS PAY UPI app.
Axis UPI app is a one-of-its-kind application that allows you to send or receive money securely and instantly with just your name. No matter what bank account you operate, you can use the Axis Bank app to make your day-to-day transactions simpler and smoother.
First things first, you need to follow these instructions to use the Axis Pay UPI App :
- Download the Axis Pay app from Google Play Store (the iOS version will be launched soon) PS - The Sender and Receiver both need to have the Axis Pay app downloaded on their smartphones.
- After installing the app, it will prompt you to register an account by SMS verification, followed by creating an a 6 digit passcode for your app.
- In the next step, select your preferred bank account from the 29 UPI enabled banks listed on the app and create a virtual address (example – yourname@axisbank)
- Verify your account & set an mPIN (this Pin will be used for all the transactions that you do for the particular bank account it is linked with, so carefully select a pin that only you know and remember).
- Select your & receiver’s unique ID
- Enter amount
- Send money by entering PIN
How to Receive Money?
- Select your & sender’s unique ID
- Enter amount
- Receive money when sender approves transaction on his app.
Here's a detailed video that gives a comprehensive idea on how to use the Axis Pay UPI app to do your transactions swiftly :
Axis UPI app has not only made my daily transactions but also other useful payments like recharges, bill payments etc. a lot simpler, and has made me come in terms with a cashless economy with ease. Do try the app and experience a hassle-free, secure and cashless payment process that will make you ask yourself - Demonetisation what?
Know more about the Axis Pay UPI app and its security features here! Download the Axis Pay app.

Hey lovelies!
We are almost at the end of 2016, and as I look back to this year - I think it has been the first time in last five years that I couldn't time as much time to the blog as I wanted to.
But well, the year isn't over yet, and before I bid goodbye to 2016, I have a couple of winter outfits to share with you all that might inspire your winter wardrobe.
Talking about outfits and trends, if there was one trend that swept the 2016 fashion circle was Military Green. And I was also taken by the oomph factor of this color, that's why I invested in some basic pieces in this trendy color.
This edgy midi dress from ZARA with an unkempt hemline was an ideal way to test the trend - so I threw it on and completed my look with a choker neckpiece from Pipa Bella and tie-up heels from H&M.
Even with its casual look, the dress definitely gave a peppy look and added to the style quotient. Have a look at more pictures below :
What do you think about this trend? Do you also think this trend is here to stay and rule the fashion circles for months to come?

OOTD : Mixing Textures - Go Edgy this Holiday Season | Curvy Style Guide
Tuesday, 13 December 2016
Hey lovelies!
The holiday/party season is upon us finally! And I am sure, you all would be sorting out looks for Christmas and New Year Eve already.
Well if you haven't found your perfect outfit yet, I have got some amazing tips and outfit inspiration on how to get an edgy and unique look this season by mixing different textures.
While this look dates back to the Fashion Week and kept lying in my blog drafts, I believed now is the right time to share the pictures plus more deets on how to get a similar look.
Silk tops are the must-haves this winter as luxe wardrobe additions and a perfect style will definitely elevate your style this season. The best part is that silk can be dressed up or down in many ways, depending upon the mood or occasion.
And when it came to dressing up for a stylish evening with the best fashionistas in town, I decided to style my embellished silk shirt from Sue Mue with a lace pencil skirt and a gold belt for a balanced yet trendy appeal.
If you are also a fan of silk, and want to opt for a dressy yet different look this holiday season - you can also style a silk shirt or top in many ways to achieve the right look.
For a casual day-out with your BFFs, pair a classy silk shirt with your favorite jeans or leggings and add a pair of sky-high pumps to add some casual-edge to your style. If you've got a silk blouse in a gorgeous jewel tone or with intricate work or embellishments like mine, pair it with a pencil skirt or layer over a shift dress for an unmatched style.
Don't forget to accessorize your look with complimenting jewellery and a statement bag for a model off-duty style.
What's your go-to party outfit this holiday season? Let me know in Comments below!

And that has also made me compromise on my health, by choosing unhealthy food options - especially when I come home from work - ordering-in and eating whatever junk I crave.
And same has been the case with my friends who stay away from their homes and have a very hectic schedule, making them depend on unhealthy food options.
With the little time that I have before leaving for work and after coming back home, my go-to choice for food is bread and jam (and I am sure it's the case with most of you too, right?).
But most of us are not aware about how badly these sugary jams impact our health. Well, even I wasn't aware till I was introduced to a healthier alternative - Dabur Honey Fruit Spreads - which are conveniently called The Adult Jam - my new-found love (Sorry to crush your curiosity if you thought I would be talking about the love of my life :P).

Day 4 : Universal Studios Singapore | TSD Travels | TSD in Singapore
Thursday, 1 December 2016
Hey lovelies!
Even though winters have officially arrived in India, I can't help sharing one of favorite outfits from my Singapore diaries which will surely remind you of the sunny days.
On the last day of my Singapore trip, I visited Universal Studios with my friends.
Universal Studios is one of the most popular theme parks om the world, located within Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa Island, Singapore. It is also the first Hollywood movie theme park of Southeast Asia and boasts of world-class attractions and breathtaking rides that left me with some amazing memories.
For my visit to the Universal Studios, I decided to wear my halter-back from ZARA in a lovely sunny shade which totally reflected my mood of the day - cheerful and happy! To my surprise, the color blended really well with the attractions at the theme park - making all my pictures look really
color co-ordinated, especially with the Minions .
Have a look at how I styled my dress with a pair of reflectors, hat and floral printed shoes :
This is one of the last posts from my Singapore diaries ( except the Shopping Haul that's coming up next), and I hope you all liked seeing and knowing more about Singapore through my eyes. Don't forget to leave your views in the Comments below!
